Moon in Cancer or Tir تیر ♋ – Household Vessels

Iran, 2500 years ago. This piece was once a handle for a vessel used for pouring liquids. It’s designed by an anonymous Iranian long long ago. Truly amazing.

It’s so sad that we don’t know who the artist was. It’s incredible that such talented people lived and we lost all the records. They were all meticulously kept in the oldest libraries, such as the one in Ctesiphon.

این شیء زمانی دسته‌ی ظرفی برای ریختن مایعات بوده است. این اثر توسط یک ایرانی گمنام در سالیان بسیار دور طراحی شده. واقعاً شگفت‌انگیز است.

خیلی ناراحت‌کننده است که نمی‌دانیم هنرمندش چه کسی بوده. باورنکردنی است که چنین افراد با استعدادی زندگی می‌کردند و ما همه‌ی سوابق را از دست داده‌ایم. همه‌ی آن‌ها با دقت فراوان در کهن‌ترین کتابخانه‌ها، مانند کتابخانه‌ی تیسفون، نگهداری می‌شدند.

But Islamic madmen burnt it all, as they thought all art was against their concept of God. اما دیوانگان مسلمان همه‌اش را سوزاندند، زیرا فکر می‌کردند که هر هنری برخلاف برداشت آن‌ها از خداست. شخصی که مسئول نابودی میراث باستانی ما بود، سلمان فارسی نام داشت که معلم محمد بود. او اولین مرتد ایران بود. او به عمر دستور داد که تمام تاریخ ایران را بسوزاند و نابود کند. به همین دلیل است که ما امروز در این وضعیت هستیم. این داستان غم‌انگیزی است، اما باید به خاطر سپرده شود.
