Medes and Persians are Iranians. For the first time in human history, two great nations, united to form the world’s first empire 2500 years ago in Iran. The Mede Guard is on the left, and the Persian Guard is on the right, with their characteristically different headdress. This message on the walls of Persepolis was to show the love that they had for each other’s culture.
